It will not be exaggeration if we say that the segment Ghazals, as much, is so popular and the credit entirely goes to Jagjit ji. He has become an international icon in Ghazal singing and again, if we are premitted to say, Jagjit ji’s style of singing Ghazals has become a prominent Gharana in Ghazal singing like various Gharanas in Indian Classical Music.
